A forensic analysis of the mind virus and its cure

An end of the year article on the Fox Business news site reads, “Was 2024 the year DEI fell apart?” The article chronicles the ditching of DEI policies and departments by many top corporations, as well as state governments and universities. DEI claims to be ‘inclusive’ but is really a thin mask for anti-white male racism and anti-Americanism. One of the great things we saw this last year was what many people believe to be the beginning of the end of a strange mind virus – the woke mind virus. This strange disease had been gaining ground for the last 5-10 years, starting first in the universities, and thus spreading to almost every sector of our society. In case you missed it, ‘woke’ refers to a set of ideas where people have supposedly ‘awakened’ to a higher ‘morality’ that says that marginalized people are always needing to be protected from discrimination, which involves making just about everything about race and gender. Also thrown in is protecting us from the dangers of global warming. As indicated in the last election, Americans seem to be saying they’ve had enough of this idiocy, as I referenced in my last newsletter.

Most people never really got the disease, it mostly infected what has come to be called ‘the elite’, people in positions of influence in academia, media, large corporations, and left wing government political figures. This last fact helped the Democrats lose the last national election in a big way. At the height of this ‘epidemic’, these people were telling the rest of us that men could be women and teenagers needed to undergo permanent potentially deadly medical procedures if they thought they were the wrong gender. Even some ‘experts’ in the medical and scientific fields were endorsing this nonsense, leading to an even greater mistrust among the public of the ‘expert’ class. No matter how many degrees a person has, when it’s clear they have a sick morality, normal people see it.

I live in a very red part of a red state, Texas, so most of us watched this circus with a mixture of amusement and disbelief. However, diseases have consequences, and can be fatal. Many people in less fortunate areas have had to endure the effects of this mind virus. Among them,

• Discriminations in hiring, student admissions; and against vendors who weren’t the right race attempting to do business with these woke corporations.

• People of color who are qualified are in danger of not being taken seriously, because of the reverse racism of ‘diversity hiring.’

• College degrees that have significantly lost their value, as education has been replaced with woke indoctrination. Companies are wising up to this, no longer requiring college degrees for many management positions. They need competent workers, not social justice warriors.

• Quality control issues in many products. Some, including Elon Musk have suggested these DEI policies helped make Boeing airliners unsafe.

• The ridiculing of Christian beliefs by schools and companies forcing the celebration of sexually deviant lifestyles as well as the indoctrination of their children.

• Dangerous life altering medical procedures on minors in the name of transgender affirmation.

• Electricity shortages (and even some deaths), as well as inflation, by forcing unreliable and expensive green energy upon people.

• Dangerous levels of crime in blue cities which refuse to prosecute criminals.

These are very real consequences of the woke disease, and a lot of people have been affected.

How did this sickness happen?

Or more accurately, what caused our ‘elites’ to get infected from a disease from which most of us are immune? As I said in my book, Modern Paganism, these elites had a high infection rate because they not only live in an economic vacuum (being insulated from the effects of their terrible ideas and policies), they live in a moral vacuum as well. “Woke” is the pseudo religion of pagans who try to fill the moral vacuum in their lives by signaling how virtuous they are by making race and gender discrimination or the climate their ‘cause.’ It has always been a moral vacuum caused by a spiritual vacuum. Someone who is needing to pose as virtuous is almost always hiding a really broken moral compass. If nothing else, they are hiding cowardice, as corporate CEO’s exhibited by folding to freshly hired social justice warriors from college. This is why they reversed so quickly when their bogus practices were exposed by activists like Robbie Starbuck.

The cure to the disease is not ‘common sense’, it is Christianity.

The American people pushed back on this insanity in the name of common sense. That was actually one of the campaign slogans of the Trump campaign. What we have to remember is that ‘common sense’ differs for different people. At this point in our society, it more or less aligns with our Christian heritage and the moral code it provided. But, if we get too far from our heritage, we are in danger of becoming like England or Canada, which are much more secular nations than the United States as a whole, to see the flagrant censorship of their governments, which the population as a whole seems to have accepted. At least here the Biden administration had to hide their censorship efforts.

If ‘wokeness’ is counterfeit Christianity, then the antidote is the real thing.

When I’m being tempted to eat junk food, I eat a healthy meal and junk food loses its appeal. Even as I write this, I’ve just eaten too many sugar coated almonds and pecans left over from Christmas because I haven’t taken the time to stop and eat lunch. The way to refuse junk morality is to embrace the morality that comes from the Christian faith.

On this last round of woke insanity, a group of 3,000 doctors were forced to sue the Biden administration over a rule by the HHS that “forces physicians who see Medicaid patients or receive federal funding to provide ‘gender-affirming’ care to children who want to transition to the opposite sex” because they believe it violated their medical ethics and/or religious beliefs. Think how insane this is, and how distorted our thinking can be when we don’t have a reliable moral compass, that these physicians had to even do this.

The way we win the next time is the way they won – it violates our religious beliefs. We have a higher authority than common sense, or even conservative versus liberal. This is how our founders overcame tyranny, and how we can overcome it in the future. They don’t have to accept our Christian faith, but we don’t have to accept their paganism, and that’s what the woke virus really is – repackaged paganism.

I got set free from paganism a long time ago, as did our Christian civilization. We don’t ever have to go back.
